“他必用自己的翎毛遮蔽你；你要投靠在他的翅膀底下；他的诚实是大小的盾牌。” – 诗 91:4
诗篇91篇向我们显明，“全能者”神的形像并不是恐怖可怕或令人惊骇的。相反，神十分温柔和关心每一个人，人们都可以到祂那里寻求庇护，就像小鸡在母鸡的护庇下一样。
作为神的子民，我们可以完全信靠神，因为祂会围绕我们，保护我们免受危险的惊吓，并拯救我们脱离凶恶。
安息在神庇护的翅膀荫下，意味着我们不需要害怕周遭混乱的处境。有时我们在神的帮助下可以勇敢地进入困境，得胜有余，有时我们则退后，安息在祂慈爱的同在中。
如果你曾有幸看到小鸡躲在母鸡的翅膀下，你会发现它们非常安静，完全感受不到危险，而母鸡则保持警觉，尽一切努力在保护自己的孩子。
当耶稣表示祂想要聚集耶路撒冷的百姓并保护他们时，祂也使用了类似的意象画面(路13:34)。祂很温柔，并把我们放在祂心上。
祷告
主啊，求你帮助我们常进入你的同在，使我们在危险临到的时候，能在你的看顾中得享平安。求你聚集我们，怀抱我们。阿们。
诗篇 91篇
1住在至高者隐密处的，必住在全能者的荫下。
2我要论到耶和华说：“他是我的避难所，是我的山寨，是我的神，是我所倚靠的。”
3他必救你脱离捕鸟人的网罗和毒害的瘟疫。
4他必用自己的翎毛遮蔽你，你要投靠在他的翅膀底下，他的诚实是大小的盾牌。
5你必不怕黑夜的惊骇，或是白日飞的箭；
6也不怕黑夜行的瘟疫，或是午间灭人的毒病。
7虽有千人仆倒在你旁边，万人仆倒在你右边，这灾却不得临近你。
8你唯亲眼观看，见恶人遭报。
9耶和华是我的避难所，你已将至高者当你的居所，
10祸患必不临到你，灾害也不挨近你的帐篷。
11因他要为你吩咐他的使者，在你行的一切道路上保护你。
12他们要用手托着你，免得你的脚碰在石头上。
13你要踹在狮子和虺蛇的身上，践踏少壮狮子和大蛇。
14神说：“因为他专心爱我，我就要搭救他；因为他知道我的名，我要把他安置在高处。
15他若求告我，我就应允他；他在急难中，我要与他同在。我要搭救他，使他尊贵。
16我要使他足享长寿，将我的救恩显明给他。”
Under His Wings
“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.” – Psalm 91:4
Psalm 91 shows that God, “the Almighty,” is not intimidating or frightening. Instead, God is so gentle and concerned for everyone that they can find refuge in him like hatchlings under the care of a hen.
As God’s people, we can trust the Lord fully because he will surround us, guard us against dangerous threats, and deliver us.
Resting in the shadow of God’s protective wings means that we don’t need to be afraid of chaotic things happening around us. There is a time for us to walk courageously into situations with God’s help, and there is a time to retreat and be still in his caring presence.
If you ever have the privilege of watching chicks take cover under a hen’s wings, you’ll see that they stay very still and quiet, completely out of view of danger, while the hen is alert and watchful and will do whatever she can to protect her young.
Jesus uses similar imagery when he expresses his desire to gather up the people of Jerusalem and protect them (Luke 13:34). He is gentle and makes space for us near to his heart.
Prayer
Lord, help us constantly to stay close to you so that when danger threatens, we will be safe in your care. Gather us in and hold us close. Amen.
