“像这样圣洁、无邪恶、无玷污、与罪人不同，高过诸天的大祭司，原是与我们合宜的。” – 来 7:26
在古以色列国，祭司扮演一个非常重要的角色。他们是神和百姓之间的中保，他们站在圣洁的神和祂有罪的百姓中间，好让百姓可以来到神面前。
不过，祭司本身也是罪人；所以，尽管是他们中间最优秀的大祭司，他也需要先洁净自己才能为百姓献祭。
然而神的儿子耶稣却是无玷污和无罪的，祂取了血肉之躯成为一个人，活在我们中间，祂到来为我们每一个人担当合宜的大祭司职份。旧约圣经（旧约）的祭司都是有罪的和最终都会去世，耶稣却是无玷污和永存的，所以祂能够为我们的缘故永远担当完全的大祭司的职份。
现在，升到天上和在那里掌权的耶稣，在这个最圣洁的地方作我们终极的大祭司。祂坐在天父的右边，作我们的中保为我们代求。完全的大祭司，我们的主和救主耶稣基督是新约的中保，现在神看我们时，祂看到的乃是新约中无玷污和无可指责的儿女！
祷告
主耶稣，你是无玷污和无可指责的，唯有你才能够作神和我们之间的中保。感谢你担当这个角色，又继续这样做、在天上为我们代求。阿们。
希伯来书 7:23-28
23那些成为祭司的，数目本来多，是因为有死阻隔，不能长久。
24这位既是永远常存的，他祭司的职任就长久不更换。
25凡靠着他进到神面前的人，他都能拯救到底，因为他是长远活着，替他们祈求。
26像这样圣洁、无邪恶、无玷污、远离罪人、高过诸天的大祭司，原是于我们合宜的。
27他不像那些大祭司，每日必须先为自己的罪，后为百姓的罪献祭；因为他只一次将自己献上，就把这事成全了。
28律法本是立软弱的人为大祭司，但在律法以后起誓的话，是立儿子为大祭司，乃是成全到永远的。
Jesus, the Ideal Priest
“Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.” – Hebrews 7:26
Priests had a very important role in ancient Israel. They served as mediators between the people and God. They stood between the holy God and his sinful people, enabling these people to approach the Lord.
But the priests themselves were also sinners. So even the best of them, the High Priest, had to purify himself before making sacrifices for the people.
Jesus, however, was pure and sinless, the Son of God who took on human flesh and came to live among us. He came to perform the role of the ideal High Priest for us all. Whereas the Old Testament (Old Covenant) priests were sinful and mortal, Jesus is pure and immortal. Jesus therefore serves as the perfect High Priest forever for our sake.
Now ascended and ruling in heaven, Jesus serves as our ultimate High Priest in the holiest place. He is the mediator at the right hand of God the Father in heaven, interceding for us. When God sees us now, he sees pure and blameless children of the new covenant mediated by the perfect High Priest, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Prayer
Jesus, you are pure and blameless. You alone can be the mediator between us and God. Thank you for taking this role and for continuing to exercise it as you intercede for us in heaven. Amen.
